A little about Shannon…
Shannon Patterson has spent over two decades at the heart of New York City’s theatre community as a director, actor, teacher, and coach. A longtime teaching artist at the renowned Barrow Group, she works with students of all levels; from kids discovering storytelling for the first time to seasoned professionals deepening their practice. Her directing work is rooted in a love of new stories, guiding fresh plays from the page to the stage. Off Broadway and on set with credits as an acting coach on HBO Max and Apple TV+ Shannon brings the same generous spirit and sharp creative eye to everything she does. She believes in collaboration, in storytelling, and in the magic that happens when people feel free to play.
